Advocacy Institute
A behind-the-front lines organization, the Advocacy Institute brings together seasoned advocates and community-based leaders to help build their capacity to advocate for more just and decent societies.  Skills are enhanced, ideas are nurtured into cohesive strategies, and advocates gain greater maturity and skills as movement leaders.  The mission of the Advocacy Institute is realized primarily through it two programs:  the Capacity Building Program and the Tobacco Control Project.

Asian American Leadership and Educational Conference
The first conference of its kind in the southwest; organized by students for students.  AALEC focuses on the current and future issues that face Asian American students and their community.  The speakers and workshops will help give students the knowledge and insight to become successful in an increasingly competitive world.  In addition, there will be networking opportunities, food and a lot of fun!

Asian American United
Formed in 1985, Asian Americans United is a non-profit, community based social change organization.  AAU exists so that people of Asian ancestry in Philadelphia exercise leadership to build our communities and unite to challenge oppression.  Our social justice work emcompasses grassroots community organizing, systems advocacy and youth leadership development, with an emphasis on poor and working class, and immigrant and refugee communities.  Current programs include Arts and Cultural projects, the Asian American Youth Workshop, the community Youth Leadership Project, the Chinatown Parents Association and the South Philadelphia Community Organizing Project.

Conference on Asian Pacific American Leadership
CAPAL was founded in 1989 by Asian Pacific (APA) professionals as a nonprofit, nonpartisan educational organization.  Its mission is to promote APA interests and success in public sector careers, to provide information and education on policy issues affecting the APA community, and to serve the APA community at large.

Leadership Education for Asian Pacifics, Inc. (LEAP)
Leadership Education for Asian Pacific (LEAP) is a national, non-profit, educational, community-based organization founded in 1982 to develop, strengthen, and expand the leadership roles played by Asian Pacific Americans.  From its inception, LEAP has developed, strengthened, and expanded the leadership roles played by Asian Pacifics in all sectors of American society.  LEAP evolved out of a recognition that many skilled and committed Asian Pacific Americans historically lacked opportunities to fully realize their potentials at the highest levels of leadership and management mainstream America.  LEAP continually recognizes that leadership challenges must be systematically addressed if Asian Pacifics expect to play meaningful leadership and decision-making roles.  In 1992, LEAP established the Asian Pacific American Public Policy Institute.  The flagship program of the organization has been the Leadership Management Institute (LMI), consisting of a programs include:  the Technology and Aerospace Management Program; the Train-the-Trainers Programs; and Community Forums.

National Asian Pacific American Legal Consortium
The National Asian Pacific American Legal Consortium, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, was incorporated in 1991 and opened its Washington, D.C. office in 1993. The Consortium works to advance the legal and civil rights of Asian Pacific Americans through litigation, public education and public policy. A nationally recognized voice on behalf of Asian Pacific Americans, the Consortium focuses its expertise on anti-Asian violence prevention and education, voting rights, immigration, naturalization, affirmative action, language rights and the census.

National Association of Asian American Professionals
The National Association of Asian American Professionals is a non-profit 501 (c)(3), all-volunteer organization whose mission is to promote the personal and professional development of the Asian American community.  Their membership comprises a diverse group of individuals with various levels of education and work experience.  NAAAP is involved in many joint projects with Asian American community service groups, a broad yet focused range of activitities and are given the opportunity to meet and work with other Asian American community leaders.

Organization of Chinese Americans
Founded in 1973, the Organization of Chinese Americans, Inc. (OCA) is a national non-profit, non-partisan advocacy organization of concerned Chinese Americans. OCA is dedicated to securing the rights of Chinese American and Asian American citizens and permanent residents through legislative and policy initiatives at all levels of the government. OCA aims to embrace the hopes and aspirations of the nearly 2 million citizens and residents of Chinese ancestry in the United States as well as to better the lives of the 10 million Asian Americans across the country.
