Center for Language Minority Education Research (CLMER)
Current Center programs and initiatives are local, regional, statewide, national and international in reach and all focus on issues of excellence, equity and access for traditionally under served or oppressed communities. Our vision of technology in service to communities has led us to engage in creative uses of technology in all aspects of our work, technology aimed at solving real problems, generating new knowledge and otherwise helping to amplify the voices of individuals and communities whose stories of adversity, challenge, wisdom and strength often go unheard. The common goal of the various programs of the Center is to encourage and develop expertise in creating equity and opportunity for all members of our culturally diverse society. The strategy of the Center is to develop leadership that ensures equitable education and systemic changes which support the well-being of children, families and communities.
